We will be staying in Interlaken and will make day trips to different nearby places like Lauterbrunnen, grindlewald etc. as per the weather conditions. We also wish to make a day trip to Zermatt from Interlaken and would like to check the weather conditions (Rain, Cloudy or not etc) before embarking on this long journey from Interlaken. Which website is the most authentic for weather forecast for Switzerland in general and for Zermatt in particular.

Swiss Meteo provides reliable local weather forecast. You can find further information and links here: http://www.myswissalps.com/weather/forecast

In addition, you can also check the mountain webcams before each mountain excursion. For instance, in the Jungfrau region there are mountain webcams on each mountain tops, available on this link: http://www.jungfrau.ch/en-gb/live/webcams/

Hi Ahmarshafi,

I like Meteoblue because of all the information it has like sunrise and sunset, the animated weather map, 7 day and 14 day forecasts. There is also a lot of information on historical rainfall and temperatures and if you’re a weather geek like I am it’s fascinating! Just type in the the location and you’re good to go. There is also a webcams tab so you can get a real time picture of your chosen locality.
