Multi-day treks in Switzerland in mid May?
Digiacobbe04 is feeling discouraged about hiking in Switzerland in May because many trails above 2000m are closed. They are looking for suggestions for multi-day treks that allow them to experience the Alps during this month, with no specific city in mind.
- Check out the Rigi panorama trail near Lucerne for stunning views.
- Consider hiking the valleys like Valle Verzasca in Ticino for warmer weather.
- Look into trails around Lake Oeschinen in Kandersteg for scenic beauty.
- Explore the trails by Walensee in Eastern Switzerland for a variety of landscapes.
- Remember, the Swiss Travel Pass can help with transportation costs between hiking locations.

Based on my research about hiking in May, I have become discouraged. Seems that majority of trails at any elevation above 2000m will be closed.
I am looking for suggestions and insight on multi-day treks within Switzerland – being able to experience the alps – during the month of May. Not set on any specific city, open for anything.
Thanks in advance for the help!
