Scenic stops/walks along Golden Pass route
A traveler is visiting Switzerland from November 9th to 16th and wants advice on the best stops along the Golden Pass route from Montreux to Lucerne. They are looking for scenic strolls, short explorations, and easy lakeside hikes near Interlaken, Lucerne, or Geneva, particularly with natural surroundings.
- Consider stopping in Gstaad for a scenic experience along the Golden Pass route.
- Lake Thun and Lake Brienz offer beautiful lakeside walks, with access via trains, buses, or boats.
- For a lovely hike, check out the trails near Giessbach Falls on Lake Brienz.
- A nice lakeside walk exists between Spiez and Faulensee on Lake Thun, accessible by train or boat.
- Note that snow might affect hiking trails, so check the weather before heading out.

Hi,
I will be visiting switzerland from 9th to 16th November. Please advise if I travel from Montreux to Lucerne on Golden Pass route http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass/gettingthere , what are the best stops along the way, where we can have scenic strolls, hour long explorations or some valuable swiss experience aside from cheese and chocolate factory.
Also please recommend a easy lakeside hike in or few hours from either interlaken , lucerne or geneva…some lakeside with natural borders.. i mean not buildings or city surrounding it. Is there such a site along Brienz reached from train?
Thanks!
