Skiing in April on Titlis

Short summary – read this first

A traveler is planning a ski trip to Mount Titlis over Easter, specifically from April 6 to 10, and is curious about the snow conditions during that time. They want to know if there will still be snow on all slopes or just on the mountain tops.

Key takeaways:
  • Expect that there will likely still be snow on Titlis in early April, but some lower slopes might be closed due to warmer conditions.
  • The Glacier Park offers snowtubing and sledding, making it a fun option even if some ski runs are not accessible.
  • Remember that the ski season at Titlis runs until May 24, so you should have ski options available during your visit.

hello, Im planning a ski trip to mount Titlis over Easter this year. As Easter falls rather late this year (all the way into second week of April) I wonder how the skiing conditions will be in 6-10 of April.

Will there still be snow on all slopes or just on the mountain tops?

    Thanks for reply!

Hi Danne ho and welcome to MySwissAlps,

because of the global warming it is a bit difficult to predict the snow status for April but very likely there will be snow in April on Titlis. Their official ski season is from October to 24 May 2020.

You can try snowtubing and sledding even during the summer thanks to the Glacier Park.

Titlis and Zermatt are the two high altitude ski places in Switzerland, but I would plan that you won’t be able to ski back to the resort (Engelberg). In the past I have skied in Zermatt in early April several times, but you never know these days. Generally there will only be one run (with artificial snow) down to village level. Some lower slopes could be closed by then.
