Swiss Travel Pass and/or Jungfrau Travel Pass?
A traveler is planning a summer trip to Interlaken and Zurich with their family, looking for advice on ticket options and travel logistics. They have a discounted Swiss Travel Pass from work but are unsure if they also need a regional pass for the Jungfrau area. They want to enjoy various activities like mountain coasters and tobogganing while trying to optimize their travel plan for sightseeing.
- Consider using the Swiss Travel Pass, as it allows unlimited travel on public transportation throughout Switzerland, making it a great option for your trip.
- Request a Swiss Family Card for your child, which comes free with the Swiss Travel Pass, allowing them to travel for free.
- Calculate costs and benefits of additional passes like the Jungfrau Travel Pass to see if they’re worth it, especially if your travel plans change.
- Use the SBB timetable to help plan your journeys between cities for a smooth travel experience.

I have found all posts and threads brilliant but I am still left confused with the tickets I need for our Summer 2020 trip to Interlaken and Zurich. We are a family of 3 (2 adults and 1 child (10) ) and have a heavily discounted STP through my place of work but wondered if I still need to buy a regional pass for the Jungfrau region or to just buy as I go.We do wish to do all activity ie mountain coasters, zip lining, Jungfraujoch tobogganing and any other activity going! We require rail travel from Zurich to Interlaken return and would also like to visit Bern and Lucerne one and the other way back. We are staying in Interlaken for 7 nights and 1 night in Zurich currently but may cut Interlaken to 5/6 and do Lucerne 1/2. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
