Tobogganing and waterfall visits early December
A traveler is visiting Interlaken and Zermatt in early December and is looking for tobogganing options suitable for beginners. They've found that some popular locations are closed during their visit and are seeking alternative spots and advice on renting toboggans. They're also inquiring about the accessibility of Trummelbach and Staubbach falls at this time.
- Check out Mannlichen where you can rent sleds and use the cable car to Grindelwald for tobogganing options.
- Don't attempt to sled down slopes that aren't designated for tobogganing, as it can be dangerous without knowing the terrain.
- Be aware that early December is often not part of the official winter sports season, so the availability of snow activities may vary.
- Confirm the status of local attractions like Trummelbach and Staubbach falls as they may have limited visibility or access in winter.

Hi,
We’ll be arriving in interlaken and zermatt during the first week of december and would like to try out tobogganing. Have check the websites and it seems that the snow fun park at jungfraujoch is already closed while bussalp and the toboggan run at rotenboden zermatt will only be available end december 🙁 Is there anywhere else nearby that we can try out tobogganing that’s suitable for beginners? Must it be done at designated slopes or can we just rent a toboggan from any sports shops and sled down the slope?
Are both trummelbach and staubbach falls close on the first week of december as well?
Thank you in advance for your reply.
