1)There is mention of public transit in 75 cities. Where is a list of those cities? And does it cover all standard public transit (trains, buses, trams)?
2) For cities where public transit is included, do you just hop on? Or do you need to show the pass and collect a ticket somehow?
Do you have questions about specific cities you plan to visit.

Thank you! My trip will take me to Zurich, Lucerne, Interlaken, Zermatt and Geneva. I gather that most of those cities are pretty walkable, but in Zurich and Geneva, at a minimum, I’ll probably want to use local transit some.
Some very pleasant tram and trolley bus rides in both Geneva and Zurich.
I appreciate what rockoyster says but urban public transport is a fascinating way of exploring cities and towns. Always an important component of my travels in Switzerland.
And there’s often a lovely bakery, cafe or bar (depending on the time of day!) at or near the “end of the line” to enjoy a bite to eat or something to drink – all the time with a passing parade of (mostly local) people.
I agree with your comment about rockoysters comment about not using public transport in cities. However ‘walkable’ Swiss cities might be it is still ridiculously convenient to have a travel pass which on arrival in the city gives you immediate validity to walk out of the railway station and onto a local bus or tram.
Good examples of reasons to use public transport (TPG) in Geneva would be to visit the Botanical Gardens, or the UN building, both some way from the city centre, but just a few minutes by TPG
I agree with the previous posts, those cities are good to explore by foot and there are also certain attractions which are best discovered by public transport. So it’s great you have the Swiss Travel Pass to give you most flexibility!
