Welcome to the club. You are using the wrong site. Use SBB.ch and then after arriving choose your language

It is a Five hour trip with a couple transfers.  But it is as straight as you can go.

Thank you DelrayDancer, extremely helpful!  Looking at SBB site I think we’ll go from Zermatt to Grindelwald, then Grindelwald to Lugano.

    kind regards

    Hi Surfer,

Grindelwald is not on that route. Please see https://www.myswissalps.com/travel/public-transport/timetable/ for how the timetable works. If you’re after a scenic route, I recommend:

    • Zermatt – Brig – Domodossola – Locarno – Lugano (Centovalli route)
    • Or: Zermatt – Visp – Andermatt – Göschenen – Lugano (part of the Glacier Express and Gotthard Panorama Express route)

More scenic route details are here:

    Have fun!
