Dear Experts,
I am planning to visit Interlaken on a 4days trip and would request your opinion on the itinerary. Also request your input on which travel pass would be beneficial most. Thanks in advance.

Pl specify your period of visit and areas of interest. There are many mountain excursion, lake cruise, hiking etc
Based on your interests, team members can suggest

AbhradeepbParticipant3 posts21 June 2021 at 18:34:45 #935255Hi Anna,
Thanks a lot. Yes, I am travelling this week. The joungfrau travel pass may not worth it for 4 days as boats are not covered.
I am still yet to figure out whether to opt for bernese oberland pass or STP.
Thanks.
AnnaModerator6384 posts21 June 2021 at 20:23:27 #935256Hi Abhradeepb,
If your plan is mainly for sightseeing in Interlaken and the surrounding areas, the Regional Pass Bernese Oberland might work best for you. However the STP would give you more flexibility if you are planning day trips to other regions.
You can use this spreadsheet to compare different railpass combinations: http://www.myswissalps.com/docs/default-source/raildoc/myswissalps-railpass-calculations.zip

ShroffchetanParticipant255 posts22 June 2021 at 5:58:10 #935257It will be better if you decide a tentative itinerary and it will be useful for deciding pass
But as a thumb rule I shall go for Swiss Travel Pass
AnnikaModerator7125 posts23 June 2021 at 6:30:37 #935258Hi Abhradeepb,
You can compare both passes in detail using these links:
I agree with Schroffchetan that you can’t really go wrong with a Swiss Travel Pass as it offers great flexibility. But indeed, if you want to make sure which option is cheapest, you’ll first need a (draft) itinerary.
Note that it’s easiest to get your pass online before departure (http://www.myswissalps.com/train/ticketspasses/practical/wheretobuy). Most retailers send your pass quickly by e-mail, within 1 day or even within minutes:
