Hello jaya85!

Your itinerary isn't very convenient, as it includes some long train transfers in the first few days (e.g. Zurich-Zermatt, interlaken-Broc-Interlaken). Did you read our tips on how to plan your stay, and did you check the timetable to check traveling times? I think you should focus on one or two base towns and their immediate surroundings, and not necessarily include sights that are far off for just one day or one night, like Zermatt and Broc.

A rail pass can be picked once your schedule is set. Here's how to select the right one. Depending on your final itinerary, you may be interested in a Swiss Transfer Ticket Combi, for example. In your current schedule, you'd use free travel days for day 1, 2 and 6 and profit from a 50% discount on the remaining days.

Please see the Interlaken and Lucerne pages for tips on nearby activities.

All other hotels are free cancellation.

Should I from zermatt go to broc n stay there one night, after doin the matterhorn. . Next morning to d chocolate n cheese making factory your n the gruyere village .

Then proceed that night to interlaken.

Hi jaya85. Please refer to these pages for information about Zermatt:

Note that you can't actually visit the Matterhorn. There are mountain tops with great views of the Matterhorn though, such as the Gornergrat.

Of course you could spend one or two nights near Broc and then head for Interlaken. You'd spend less days in Interlaken or Lucerne in that case. I understand that the idea of the chocolate/cheese making factory is fun for a kid, but long traveling times may not be that wise with a 6 year old. There are lots of great activities for kids in the Lucerne and Interlaken regions: consider the Museum of Transport, mountain tops, or the Ballenberg Open Air Museum near Brienz (in the Interlaken region). There's a chocolate demonstration in the Open Air Museum as well.

By the way, would you mind trying to use less abbreviations/text language in your posts, as mentioned in the forum rules? It's a bit hard to read through your questions. Thank you :-)!

Hii annika,

Thanks for all your advice. In zermatt I meant doing the matterhorn glacier paradise - klein matterhorn than the gornergrat. Isn't the gornergrat l experience similar to the cogwheel experience tu jungfagru.

As per your advice we will stick to interlaken for 3 nights and do the activities there post zermatt and then 1 night lucerne And 1 night zurich .

Can you please suggest which swiss pass should I buy considering above.

Thanks.

Hi jaya85,

All mountains are different, and also the views along the way to get there. As for the pass: please check Annika's link on how to select the right one. That will explain it all. Based on your latest plan my guess would be to compare the 8-day Swiss Travel Pass and the Swiss Half Fare Card. The child will travel along for free in both cases.
