We are staying in Luzern from 25 December to 29 December thanks to recommendations not to use Zurich as a base. Of course, the weather report its always changing this far out, but there seems to be a chance that there will be at least 1 if not more days of intermittent clouds and freezing rain. We hope to go to Jungfraujoch at least on one day. But are there alternatives if we have a week of cloudy/rainy days? We are fine with a scenic train trip for 6-8 hours round trip. Disappointed if we don’t get to do much walking, but flexible given weather.

Swiss Museum of Transport + Swiss Chocolate Adventure would be my choice if it’s raining. It’s located in Luzern:-) Check the website @ http://www.verkehrshaus.ch/en. I could spend a full day there. Cheers:-)

“I very much appreciated the suggestions of where to go based on our priorities of spending time in nature and away from crowds. I also appreciated the train guidance.”
