I’m going to be in Zermatt for 3 days this spring. Is the Half Fare Travel Card honored for Klein Matterhorn, Gornergrat and Testa Grigia? If not what is my best option to save money on the lifts around Zermatt? When I go to these places can I get off and back on the train or cable car for photo stops? Any advise would be appreciated.

Hi CRCJR and welcome to MySwissAlps.com!

Yes, the Swiss Half Fare Card is a good choice for you, you can see the validity at http://www.myswissalps.com/swisshalffarecard/validity.

Yes, you can get of anywhere for taking photos and you can continue your mountain trip after. You can even get out and hike for 1 part and then continue your trip from the next station.

The cableway from Klein Matterhorn to Testa Grigia is not open yet, it will be ready just in the summer of 2022.

I recommend you these pages (make sure to check all the other labels too):

“It was amazing, Switzerland is small but so much to see and it can be overwhelming to try to plan a weeks holiday and feel able to get the balance right. Our itinerary met all our requests. Annika’s personal approach is a breath of fresh air.”
