Hi…

Around end of May i would be going from Zermatt to Lucerne. I thought of doing this using Glacier express and Gothard panaromic express…From the sbb timetable I saw the connections are pretty close…for example:

Zermatt (Dep 7.52am ) – Andermatt (Arr 10.46)

Andermatt ( Dep 10.50 am) – Goschenen (Arr 11.05am) ( cog wheel train)

Goschenen ( Dep 11.10am) – Lucerne …Gotthard panaromic express.

Is these connections doable? Moreover with luggage…

My actual destination is from Zermatt to Zurich. I was trying this route as it’s scenic and I am having a Swiss pass…

The timetable only suggests connections that are doable. Sometimes the trains wait even for a few minutes if it is a train is delayed. See at http://www.myswissalps.com/timetable under “Tight connection times”.

Then it should be ok.

If you are still worried about missing the Gotthard Panorama Express, then check the timetable and maybe take an earlier train from Zermatt.
