3 days in Zermatt, ideas for things to do?

Short summary – read this first

A traveler is arriving in Zermatt from Interlaken and plans to explore the town before snowboarding for one morning. They are looking for advice on how to best spend their 1.5 days and are particularly interested in visiting Gornergrat for the sled run instead of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise.

Key takeaways:
  • Visit Gornergrat for both beautiful views and sledding options.
  • Consider checking out Sunnegga for additional activities and great scenery.
  • Make sure to allocate time for snowboarding at Gornergrat as it also has skiing facilities.
  • Don’t miss exploring the charming town of Zermatt during your visit.

will be arriving in Zermatt from Interlaken around noon on day 1, planned to walk around Zermatt town. I planned to spend one of the mornings doing snowboarding.

any advice on how to spend the 1.5 days?

I read a lot of itineraries that had Matterhorn Glacier Paradise in it but i felt like going to Gornegrat more as i want to do the sled run there.

    Hi CJ0412,

There is skiing at Gornergrat, so I would only assume you can snowboard there as well. So you can always kill two birds with one stone on that one. Sunnegga is always an option also. Great views, activities and skiing also. You can’t go wrong in Zermatt. I hear SaaS Fee has great skiing if you want to venture outside the village. Have fun.
