Hi All,

First time traveller to Swiss with wife and two kids (14 and 10). Spending 8 nights from July 15 to July 23.

Booked an Airbnb in Lucerne for 6 nights and 2 nights in Zurich. Trying to finalize the itinerary. Thinking of doing below

1) Lucern City Tour

2) Jungfraujoch and Interlaken

3) Mt. Pilatus

4) Mt. Titlis

What are the other best places we can plan to visit. My kids aren’t interested in Museums.

Last year there was some Spring discounts on Swiss Travel Pass. Don’t see anything this year, will be there be any discounts this year? Can we buy the pass now or wait for some more time.

Hi Mohan

I would consider visiting Zermatt (https://www.myswissalps.com/town/zermatt/) and seeing the iconic Matterhorn and Gornergrat https://www.myswissalps.com/activity/gornergrat/. Interlaken (https://www.myswissalps.com/town/interlaken/) is nice but I would consider staying in Grindelwald, Wengen, or Lauterbrunnen instead. These towns have a more Swiss village feel and ambiance. I don’t know if hiking is attractive to your family but there are numerous easy short hikes with great views out of First and Schynige Platte.

Visiting Interlaken as a day trip, not planing to stay there.

Currently Hiking is off of our list.

Welcome to MySwissAlps.

The Swiss Museum of Transport is a great place to visit on a rainy day, just in case. By the way it is unlike a typical museum. In addition to interactive displays, the museum also includes a a chocolate adventure exhibition, a planetarium and also a huge playground outside.
