    Hi Everyone,

I am planning a 4 days trip to switzerland from sep 29th to october 2nd.

I would make lucerne as by base. Will arrive in lucerne on 29th around 4 pm and will have 3 full days of 30th ser, 1st october 2nd october.

I want to explore jungfrouch on one day.

lucurne boat ride and titlis/pilatus/rigi on one day.

I have still one more day, any suggestions on the third day whole day ??

I would prefer to go to scenic places and if possible explore swiss villages.

Please help me with suggestions ??

Hi Sathwick and welcome to MySwissAlps!

We have a list of suggestions on what to do in Lucerne here.
It also isn’t possible to visit Mt. Rigi, Mt. Pilatus and Mt. Titlisand have a boat ride on lake Lucerne in one day. I would split that 1 day itinerary into two.

You can use the Swiss railways timetable here to plan out your trips.

    Hi Lucas,

    Thank you for your suggestions.

I have another query, in case during the time i am in switzerland if the weather is not good to see the mountains, instead of going to jungfrouch, pilatus ans titlis which cities/areas in can explore for 2 days assuming i spend 1 day or 1.5 days to explore lucerne?

Hi Sathwick – For a start, consider Bern:

Also, check other cities in this link:

For museums, Basel and Zuerich are within easy reach of Luzern, also.

If the weather is good in the West, consider Montreux or Lausanne, via the faster train routes through /or passing near Olten at Zofingen, and then through Bern.

Those main cities are all in the link I gave above. You can check each individual listing.
