Hi Audy,
we are glad to help, please do not ask sorry for your questions 🙂
You can buy your boat tickets on the spot or reserve it in advance (http://www.myswissalps.com/boatlakelucerne/tickets). If you have a Swiss rail pass then the boat tickets on Lake Lucerne might be free or discounted. Are you going to have a rail pass?
October is quite far, difficult to predict the border checking. If a Green pass is still required in Italy, then yes, they might check it. Regarding the coronavirus in Italy, please have a look at this thread: http://www.myswissalps.com/forum/topic/zermatt-to-lugano-green-pass-required

Lake Luzern boats have a ticket office on board the boat. You can wait until the boat arrives and still buy a ticket.
Bear in mind that October is the low season for lake boats, with fewer services.

Hi everyone.
Yes, October still long way. 😁 But in Indonesia, applying Switzerland visa has already in a long line, so we have to process everything soon. And also, we choose October because it’s cheaper for plane tickets and rental car.
Yes, we are planning to have a Swiss Half Fare Card because we will rent a car to go around and not using public transport all the time.
Yes, I already read some information too that in October some tourist activities either already close or reduced. We will ride Glacier Express, but only a short trip from Zermatt to Andermatt (Glacier Express close starting Oct 24).
As of Italy..we will not go across just to avoid problems.

Hi Audy,
yes, if you are driving too, the Swiss Half Fare Card is the best solution. You can get it here: http://www.myswissalps.com/swisshalffarecard/price.
You can still find plenty of places to visit in October, just make sure to check the operating info in advance. Have a look at the Saver Day Pass for the Day you are traveling by the Glacier Express, that might be cheaper than the half priced ticket. Also you get a discount for the Saver Day Pass as you have a Swiss Half Fare Card too. So the price starts from 29 CHF: http://www.myswissalps.com/saverdaypass/price. Note that you also need to reserve your seats: http://www.myswissalps.com/glacierexpress/tickets.
