Mother’s Day in Switzerland is Sunday May 10th, 2020. A vast majority of the shops are closed on Sundays to begin with. Unless you go to tourist cities like: Lucerne or Interlaken, there you will find more shops open but not a whole lot. The trains are running, and you usually don’t find many people on there either because again it is Sunday.

In case your mum is missing Thai food while traveling, there is an authentic Thai restaurant in Interlaken. They do sometimes take special requests, such as having softshell crab in the papaya salad.
