Regional Pass Bernese Oberland / Swiss Travel Pass
Disha is planning a trip to Switzerland in August with two other adults. They aim to spend 5 days exploring Lucerne and Interlaken, visiting mountains like Mt Rigi and Schilthorn, and considering stops in Zermatt and Montreux. Disha is seeking advice on which travel pass would be best for their itinerary.
- A Swiss Travel Pass is recommended for your itinerary as it covers more areas than the Bernese Oberland Regional Pass.
- Check the validity maps to ensure your planned destinations are included in your chosen pass.
- Consider the Swiss Travel Pass for flexibility with train travel across multiple regions, including Zermatt and Montreux.

hi we are 3 adults travelling most probably in the month of August to Switzerland. we plan to do local sightseeing in Lucerne and Interlaken along with Mt Rigi, Stanserhorn, Schilthorn and either Grindelwald First or Jungfrau (one of the two). we may add either mount Pilatus or mount Titlis depending on the time we have left. in addition we are also exploring the villages of Lauterbrunnen, Murren and Gimmelwald. A total of 5 days in the Lucern/Interlaken region. Hence a regional berner oberland should make sense. However we also will be taking the Golden Pass train to Montreux and spending a day in Zurich and two days in Zermatt with the mountain excursions in Zermatt. We might also add in the Glacier Express if time permits instead of a mountain excursion in Zermatt. In this case which pass do you recommend for us?
Thanks,
Disha
